Three Iranian champs to go to Milan FICTS

The 36th edition of the Milano International FICTS Festival in Italy has scheduled to host three films starring Iranian sport champions.

‘I Am an Iranian’ directed by Mohammad-Reza Ahanj is an entry to the Wrestling section. Alireza Heidari, Iranian wrestler and holder of several world and Olympics medals, has starred in the movie.

Farzaneh Amini’s movie ‘Sniff’ will also compete at the Boxing section. The film stars former Iranian martial arts champion and MMA fighter, Anoushiravan Mohseni.

The third Iranian athlete on the 36th Milano FICTS screen will be Ali Ansarian, former defender of Iran’s Persepolis and Esteqlal football clubs as well as the Team Melli, in the movie ‘Captain Amir’ by Saeed Chaari.

‘My Sister Mohaddeseh’ directed by Atefeh Mehrabi will also go on screen at the Sport & Disability section.

‘Iran plus Two Powers’ directed by Farzaneh Amini will be screened at the Movies & TV Football-Medium and Feature section.

The FICTS (Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs) is the organizer of the event, which is the final phase of the World FICTS Challenge that runs in 16 countries, including Iran.

According to the FICTS, Tehran will host the event on October 16-18, 2018.

The Tehran FICTS will be held in collaboration with the National Olympic and Paralympic Committee, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, IRIB and the Tehran Municipality.

The Milan FICTS is slated for November 14-19, 2018.
